Harvest Business

Since  in shops around the Villages of the Seasons love her harvest and the demand goes up high, Evelyn is overwhelmed beyond her senses.

“Whoa!” Evelyn shouted. “They’ve loved my new breed of honeydew? They want me to get more?! I’d have to get seeds from Spring Village every night?” She started to panic. “Oh, calm down, Evelyn,” Lia said, “but you’d have to harvest every night as well.” She zoomed out to Spring Village, got seeds, and came back, grew them with bone meal, and harvested. “Good luck,” Lia  declared.Lia awoke at the crack of dawn. She looked over at Evelyn’s tree. She wasn’t there! “What? She was harvesting at 5:00 or something.” she assumed. But Evelyn actually kept up with demand, harvesting, planting, and accidentally destroying her own crops. “Evelyn, wanna have breakfast?” Lia asked her. She shouted, “Nope! Gotta keep up with demand! Been harvesting all night! Can’t stop! Won’t ever stop! Nice try!” Lia knew this was a dilemma. “If you don’t stop now, it will be indelible on the rest of your lifetime!” she shouted. She had to get somebody before this got serious. She went to the Royal Tree, made a flier, flew back to Evelyn’s farm, picked up Evelyn, and flew straight to Doc’s Tree in Autumn Village. “She won’t stop harvesting until she gets weary,” Doc exclaimed. “she’s even harvesting my patients and putting them in a bucket.” Lia looked at the tall stack of sick and hurt people. She groaned, at Evelyn, in annoyance. “Nope! Gotta keep up with demand! Been harvesting all night! Can’t stop! Won’t ever stop! Nice try!” Evelyn  shouted again. Lia brought her straight to Winter Village. Frost used to be the only thing that would get Evelyn sleeping like a baby. “Leigh, she won’t stop harvesting until she gets tired. Fire it up with that frost!” she exclaimed. Leigh looked up, groaned, and replied, “Yeah, she’s harvesting my precious icicles. I actually grow those by hand! Here comes that frost!” Leigh aims all her frost powers at Evelyn. It doesn’t work! “The icicles are back, though,” Lia noticed. She flies Evelyn to Summer Village. “Evelyn won’t snap out of it?” June asked. “Yeah. Won’t stop harvesting. She says that herself.” Lia responded.  “Nope! Gotta keep up with demand! Been harvesting all night!  Can’t stop! Won’t ever stop! Nice try!” Evelyn shouts again. “That sure sounds weird.” June said. She aims all her “sun-lover powers” on Evelyn. Nope. “She is harvesting my people.” June noticed. Lia flies Evelyn to Spring Village. “Nature sounds make everyone sleep here,” Taylor exclaimed, “let’s see if it works on Evelyn.” She plays the most hypnotic nature sounds song she knows on a record fly, while she and Lia wore earmuffs. Nope. “I’ll never get her to snap out of it,” Lia admits, “I’ll just have to get used to it.” Taylor noticed, “She is harvesting my flowers.” Lia flies Evelyn back home.

A week later…

Lia woke up late. She looked over to Evelyn’s tree Evelyn was-asleep?! On the tree? “Must be a mirage.” Lia guessed. But it was real.

Evening time…

“Oh, hi, Lia. What’s in the store?” Evelyn asks. Lia asks a recorder fly. “Honeydew. That’s it.” she replies. “Ew, honeydew! Never growing that again!” Evelyn exclaims in disgust. She cuts all of that honeydew crop down. In a second.

Mesmerized

Alli is trapped in a silent  trance, and Leigh tries Doc’s way  to cure her dear sister, which is having her spend 4 days in the mountains.

“Alli? Sis? You up?” Leigh searches around for her sister. No answer. She heads over to Alli’s tree. She finds Alli, but Alli’s silent. “Um, this isn’t normal.” she realized… and flew her over to Winter Doc’s Tree.

“She’s mesmerized,” Doc said, checking her pulse. “Nothing that’s worse, no other problems. She needs 4  days in the mountains for cure.” “Whoa, 4 days in the mountains?! That’s brutal, even for us.” Despite the amount of brutal in the mountains, Leigh brought Alli there. Leigh never felt worse with her sister, perhaps freezing in the cold of the mountains. So Leigh gave Alli a leaf blanket so when she snaps out of it, she at least doesn’t freeze to death.

4 days later…

“Alli comes back today!” Leigh shouted. She climbed up to the top of the Royal Tree, got on the flier she made years ago, and flew to the mountains. She heard Alli shouting below, “Leigh! Why the heck am I in the mountains?! Explain, sis!” Leigh explained her story, “You were mesmerized. I had to take you here-Doc told me so-it’s the cure.”
