Division:A Seasonal Tale from Winter’s Perspective

War was casual. Autumn Village had  two alliances, we had one. We were extremely fierce. Life in a prison of your own will is harsh. Every four years, it’s a certain season. I am Alli Armada, a smart Winter Village native girl. Â The year the war actually stopped was a Summer Year, when June warms up the plains that we call No Man’s Land. I had stayed up all night studying how to defeat a new enemy that’s unusually here, in the country of Hyster, when it normally is in Animalasiana. Yes, I’m studying Animalasianese books. It’s the Ice-beaked Vulture, common in Animalasiana during winter. “I’ve got it! All we need to do is lead them up to the mountains!” I shouted in happiness. My sister, also leader of our village, was glad to see that but she all of a sudden raced out of our dear Winter Village. “June v.s Leigh this time around,” the servant complained, “Two years to go.” Little did we know something was going wrong…

I heard punches hours later. I prayed it wasn’t badly needed for me to rush out. But it was. I had to lead up the Ice Beaked Vultures to the mountains of this land, where it’s colder than here and peace engulfs you like a leaf blanket. Even I wear a wool jacket when going up there.

Turns out they loved it. I saw a gold light below where I was, and trucked below the high altitude. Everyone was frozen except for the Spring Village leader, Taylor, who I tried to seize. She wasn’t like any other war leader. She raised her arms and shouted desperately, “I come in peace! Don’t shoot!” I was easily confused. I heard her whisper to a little, gold animal, ” Enti Armada, griffon-bunny. We need you. Go do your thing.” The clouds seemed to speak after she said the word “thing”. “I can’t just tell them to stop. The war is much worse. You have to show them you can do it, that they can do it, that the world was designed for peace. Gather your enemy and tell them you’re sorry.Find a gift to them, something they all like. I advise you, go make it better.” Then he unfroze them. June wasn’t happy, let alone peaceful. Lia, the Autumn Village leader, had snapped her leg broken, and now she was mad as hot fire. She went to invade Autumn Village, and they knew there was no hope for their home. All except one, the famous Evelyn Liona. She planned to unite Lia and Leigh’s powers to defeat Summer Sun Army for good. She grabbed her sister (Lia) and my sister and told them her plan. They agreed. Frost and wind forced June to surrender. She promised to divide the year into four. That’s the story.
